I love Habitat and have recently found great bedding and glassware in Zara Home. The high street is also great for interiors finds. eBay is also amazing as you can find practically anything on there – I’ve actually just bought some art deco gold taps for the bathroom.

It’s where all the dealers go but people have cottoned on to how great it is and it’s not as cheap anymore. ​I love going to Kempton flea market – it has some great pieces of furniture. Where are your favourite places to shop for pieces for your apartment? Our collection is so small though I can’t wait to buy more art – my most recent photograph purchase was by a photographer called Jamie Hawkesworth and it’s absolutely beautiful. My boyfriend is a photographer and has a fantastic eye and we’ve decorated our apartment with a mixture of our collections together. Oh gosh I can’t really remember! I just love to be surrounded by photographs and art – it’s really important to me as I think it tells a story of your journey. You have a rather impressive collection of art! What was your first piece and where did you find it? ​I’ve lived here for 3 years now and still feel that the space is evolving.​ ​That’s very kind! Well it’s not so much curated to be honest…it just a collection of things I have found on eBay, vintage sales and flea markets along with a few house buys from stores such as Habitat.​ How long did it take for your home to look the way that it does now? Your home looks so well collected and curated. I also look to the art deco influence and like to mix these styles all together. ​I absolutely love the 60’s and I’ve taken inspiration from Mad Men in how I have decorated and dressed my home. How would you describe your personal decorating style? I asked Laura a few questions about her hipster home. Her space is bright, airy and cheery, just the tonic to perk up this dreary January day. When I saw the images from TV Presenter Laura Jackson’s home I became a little giddy. Essentially the team have been having a good old nose around the homes of some very creative personalities and finding out what makes them tick.
